What you can actually see

Full Itinerary

Experience some of the most magnificent parts of Western Australia’s west coast with us on Pinnacles Tours. Come and get thrilled by twinkling dusk stars and wildlife in a native paradise called Pinnacles.
Get out of town for a day trip to some of the best natural wonders that Western Australia has to offer.
We stop for a rest after 1.5 hours from Perth and view from Lancelin lookout. The largest network of sand dunes in Western Australia is found here. This contrasts sharply with the white sparkling turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, which stands behind it.
Before we go further to the Nilgen Nature Reserve, take off sand from your shoes. While in a region that is rich in plants and animals, we will pass by the various wildflowers, which are banksias, bottlebrushes, heath, grass trees and kangaroo paws, all of them surging with vitality when they are in bloom. In case flowers are nowhere to be seen, we may as well go near Hangover Bay where you can either play with the perfectly pure water or catch sight of bottlenose dolphins and sea lions.
Breathe in deeply, for we are about to move into Nambung National Park and see the unusual Pinnacles desert at sunset. The Pinnacles are composed of shells and were formed millions of years ago when this part of Western Australia was beneath the ocean. It’s best to visit at twilight when other tourists have left and thousands of limestone pillars emerge from the sand; as hues shift across the stone, an extraterrestrial feel takes over.
We will enjoy a picnic dinner with a complimentary bottle of local wine and then sit back for an amazing light show in the natural world under the sky. As daylight fades, it is time to appreciate the unearthly beauty of planets and stars whirling above us. Listen to Aboriginal Dreamtime tales while you gaze through space-time.

Meals: Dinner. Driving distance: 420km. Walking distance: ~1km / 2km.

*A certain level of fitness is necessary to complete the walks. Throughout the year, this tour departs at different times for maximum sunset experience, so the stops on the itinerary may slightly change.
